The Friends of Kingswood House are a group of people who take an interest in the history and preservation of this interesting landmark, and help promote its use by the surrounding community.
We have held various events designed to raise awareness of the house and to encourage use by the surrounding community. We have helped raise grants for a variety of workshops, including drama lessons, tapestry making, and video making; and have raised funds to help improve the grounds.
We also help with events organised by other groups, including historically-themed events and tea dances.
Because the House is a listed building it is difficult and expensive for Southwark Council to maintain. The House needs Friends to make sure it continues to thrive and provide a place for the community for many years to come.
Membership costs £5 a year for individuals, £10 for families, and £15 for organisations.
Please send a cheque and details of your name, address or, preferably, e-mail address to The Secretary, Friends of Kingswood House, Kingswood House, Seeley Drive, SE21 8QR.
You will be kept informed of and invited to forthcoming public events and fundraising activities. After 2 years membership you may be eligible for discount on bookings.
